West Kootenay

 The West Kootenay region is located in the mountainous southeastern area of BC, with several different ranges – the Selkirk, the Valhalla, the Purcell, and the Monashee – towering over the rivers and lakes in the valleys below.

Each town in the West Kootenay has its own unique character and charm. Check out the amazing variety of shops, restaurants, and local arts and culture scene in each community.  Of if adventurous, go hike Kokanee Glacier, fish on Kootenay Lake or the Columbia River, ski at one of the world-renowned resorts, or mountain bike one of the many trails.
