East Kootenay

The Rocky Mountains line the East Kootenay region to the east and the Purcell Mountains to the west. The Kootenay River's tributary connects our communities including, the St. Mary's, Moyie, Bull, and Elk rivers. The Ktunaxa were the first people to live along the Kootenay River and continue to add vibrancy to the region.
